The Vancouver Island Food Truck Festival is a celebration of food, music, family and community taking place on Campbell River's picturesque foreshore overlooking Discovery Passage since 2023.
SPIRIT SQUARE
From 2021 to 2025 Highway 19 Concerts programmed free weekly outdoor performances in the summer on behalf of the City of Campbell River in our downtown public gathering space, Spirit Square. Lunch in the Square showcased local and regional performers on Tuesdays at noon, and the evening concert series River Concerts presented touring artists from across North America with support from BC Live Performance Network.
Highway 19 Concert Series
September to May
Since 2019 Highway 19 Concerts has been presenting outstanding performers from across Canada in intimate venues in Campbell River such as Rivercity Players’ Stage and the Willow Point Lions Community Hall.
Inspired by the late, great Levon Helm’s legendary Midnight Ramble in Woodstock, NY, each Ramble shines a spotlight on a few emerging and established local and regional songwriters along with a special guest headliner, all backed by the J. Plank’s stellar Vancouver Island house band. The Ramble is all about building musical community, and creating unique and unforgettable nights of song and music at the Merville Hall.

Campbell river Jazz & Blues Fest
The CR Jazz & Blues Festival took place over 4 days in the summers of 2024 and 2025 with 16 free performances at six venues around town including outdoor headline shows at Spirit Square and Shoppers Row.
